Profile
Andreas Oikonomou is
a Research Student and a Research
Assistant at BIOCORE, Coventry University,
UK. The subject of his research is
the evaluation of the effectiveness
of multimedia in biomedical training
and specifically in instructing lay
women how to perform Breast Self
Examination (BSE). Breast Self Examination
is a privately practiced technique
that aids in the early detection
of breast cancer and other breast
abnormalities. Prior to his enrolment
as a research student, Mr Oikonomou
was awarded the BSc degree in Engineering
in 1999 and the MSc degree in Information
Technology Management in 2000, both
from Coventry University.
